Crew Leader
Job Description
As a crew leader, you will be responsible for understanding the entire project scope and can appropriately delegate tasks to ensure work completion. Ideal candidates have:
Strong communication and team-building skills.
Can direct equipment and resources.
Engages in clear communication with project managers.
Establishes a daily plan and coordinates the tasks of the construction crew.
Plans work in an efficient and effective order, maximizing progress in a safe and timely manner.
Can competently use the required equipment and tools for each project.
Reads and interprets project plans and specifications.
Works in a safe and responsible manner.
Understanding what the client or company wants to achieve
Communicating with staff at every level, in a calm, personable way
Overseeing several tasks at the same time
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in the utility construction sector
Pre-employment and random drug screening
Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of utility construction processes
Knowledge of heavy equipment
Time management
Supervisory skills
Valid Driver’s license
Commercial Driver’s License preferred
Or be able to obtain a CDL within 180 days of employment
