Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
As a heavy equipment operator, you will be responsible for running several pieces of equipment within our fleet at a high level of proficiency. The ideal candidate:
Safely and efficiently operate equipment used in utility construction, including, but not limited to Horizontal Directional Drills, Plows, Tractor Loader Backhoe’s, Excavators, Hydro Excavators, and other equipment to support a variety of operations
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required
Knowledgeable understanding of utility construction
Support and comply with all components of the Company’s safety program
Regular physical and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
Qualifications
3 years experience operating heavy equipment
Pre-employment and random drug screening
Knowledge of utility construction processes
Valid Driver’s license with CDL certification
Or be able to obtain CDL within 180 days of employment
Meet the physical requirements of the role which includes occasional lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the work period. Occasional long-term standing, sitting, and walking during work.
